Three betboom Students Honored at University's Annual Leadership Awards
Three School of Communication undergraduate students received awards at betboom's annual Leadership Awards on April 21.
Emma Grubaugh, a junior Strategic betboom major, was one of the Outstanding Positional Leader Award winners for her role as Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Ohio State Chapter president for the 2016-2017 school year.
"I'm honored to serve PRSSA and humbled to have received this award from Ohio State," Grubaugh said. "My team and I worked hard to reach our goals for the chapter and I'm proud we all went above and beyond."
Yang "Vincent" Liu, a senior Strategic Communication and Sociology major, won a Diversity Engagement Award. This award is sponsoredby the Student Life Multicultural Center and given to student organization programs that have demonstrated a significant commitment to fostering intercultural impact as part of ongoing efforts to create a globally engaged citizenry among Ohio State betboom. The award seeks to recognize the efforts put forth by student organization programs that create deeper understanding of diversity and social justice to create intercultural understanding and skill development.
President Michael Drake spoke at the Leadership betboom Ceremony and Brutus made an appearance.
