Student Receives ,000 Research betboom app Award

Elizabeth Riggs, a double major in Film Studies and Communications Analysis and Practiceand research assistant for communication PhD student Courtney Anderegg, received a ,000 Research betboom app Award from the university’s Undergraduate betboom app Officefor her work on a narrative analysis project. The study used a segmentation approach to divide a feature-length film into meaningful units in order to analyze discontinuities in narrative shifts. The study has implications for how audiences view, comprehend and remember long audiovisual narratives.
