Huskey receives award at betboom review Conference

Richard betboom review

Assistant Professor Richard betboom review was named the 2017 Annie Lang Dissertation Award recipient for the Information Systems Division of the International Communication Association.

betboom review’s research focuses on the intersection of media psychology and cognitive neuroscience in the emerging research area known as Media Neuroscience. Through his work in the Cognitive Communication Science Lab, his research investigates motivation and media engagement, attitude and behavior change and the influence of moral narratives.

He will be awarded for his work, “Intrinsic Reward Motivates Large-Scale Shifts Between Cognitive Control and Default Mode Networks During Task Performance,” which was chaired by Rene Weber at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Huskey is the founding officer of the betboom review’s communication science and biology interest group. He also is an active member in the Center for Cognitive and Brain Sciences at Ohio State.

Numerous Ohio State students and faculty were recognizedat the betboom review conference in San Diego May 25-29.
